Q&A about staying at Holloway Acres...

If you are thinking about booking with us - read below for further details. If you have already booked with us, thank you so much for your business! Whether you are considering staying with us or already have made your reservations - here is some information that will be helpful for your stay.

Our guest house is located inside our white barn! We converted an old horse barn into a beautiful 1300+ guest house.

(This barn was transformed from an old red barn into an updated white barn that matches our ranch style home). For before and after pictures click here.

How big is the guest house at Holloway Acres? What is the total number of guests that can sleep comfortably?

Our guest house is located inside of our barn. When you enter the barn the guest house entrance is on the right-hand side. A portion of the downstairs of the barn still has horse stalls, but we don't house horses in our barn. If we ever decide to board horses, we will have a separate living space for them. We currently use that extra space for storage , but do have plans to renovate that too. The guest house is approximately 1300 square feet and is upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs has the kitchen, small laundry room, and full bathroom. The upstairs has a bedroom, a half bathroom, and a large grand space (complete with the most beautiful floor to ceiling window for watching sunrises and sunsets while drinking a cup of coffee).

The guest house sleeps comfortably 6-7 people. If you are bringing children maybe more!

So, we have a queen size bed in the bedroom that sleeps 2. We also have a sofa in that bedroom that does fold down and a cot under the queen size bed in the case you have young children that want to sleep closer to you. In our large grand space, we have 2 full size sleeper sofas - so between those two sofas that will sleep another 4 people. We do have extra air mattresses upon request and definitely have space for you to add an air mattress if you are looking to bring a crew!

The main table in the grand room is 3-n-1 : it is a dining table, a pool table, and also converts to a ping pong table.

Is your place pet friendly?

Yes, but this is something that must be discussed prior to arrival. It is at our discretion to approve your animals stay or not. Our place sits on 32+ acres and we have various farm animals on our property. We have 2 Australian Shepherds on our property that help with hearding of our smaller breeds of farm animals. We also have 1 male Great Pyrenees that helps with protecting the property and warding off predators (such as coyotes). If your animal is aggressive, not use to being around other animals, or very nervous in different environments you may not want to bring them. With that being said, we have had many guest bring their beautiful pets and they have done wonderful. All guests are responsible for their pet and cleaning after them. Your pet must be house trained and if anything is damaged due to your pet - you will be responsible for damages.

What if I am the opposite of pet friendly and I am afraid of animals?

Due to living on lots of land - we do have animals. All of our animals remain in their living areas and don't just roam outside of their fenced in area. The only exception to that is our 3 guard and shepherding dogs. We have 2 Australian Shepherds and 1 Great Pyrenees. I realize the size of our Great Pyrenees can seem very intimidating, but Max (our Great Pyrenees) is truly a gentle giant. But, we totally understand fears are a real thing and we want you to feel safe. So, if you are afraid of dogs, we will be happy to pick them up in their cages while you are staying with us. You will just need to let us know in advance if you are afraid of dogs.

This is our Great Pyrenees named Max! He is typically a loner but will definitely try to greet you when you arrive. He will come around and see what's going on and then head back to his favorite spots on the property. But, just message me if you are afraid of dogs and I'll be happy to have him picked up prior to your arrival.

Below are our 2 Australian Shepherds - the multi colored one is our Male and his name is Ranger. The tri colored one (black, white, and brown) is our female and her name is Ruby.

Ranger & Ruby are husband and wife, and they just had their first litter of pure-bred Aussies in January of 2023. They spend every day together and absolutely live their best life here at Holloway Acres. They work so hard at keeping the smaller farm animals in line! For example, the chickens, ducks, and turkeys can free range in specific area and if they try to get out of those boundaries - well here comes Ranger and Ruby reminding them of where they need to be. They are our second set of eyes.

Ranger and Ruby are amazing with kids and adults. If you give them a little bit of attention you will win them over right away. The picture above is Ranger and our sweet niece at Christmas time. She absolutely loves our animals!

Do you host events? Weddings? Rent out your party for parties?

Yes, we do and would love to chat with you further if you are looking for a unique space to host an event. Please check out our events tab of our website or click here.

I have seen pictures you have shared on your Instagram and wanted to know if you allow people to come and take pictures?

We love meeting new people and sharing our space! We are so thankful that people would want to come out to our little slice of heaven, but to keep everything streamlined we only allow professional photographers to shoot on the land and that must be scheduled in advance with us. This is our personal property and it's not just open to the public at any time. We typically will work directly with the photographer and schedule a time that works for the both of us. There is a small fee for a 1 hour shooting session on the property. If the guest house is open on the day your photographer schedules (and not booked with guest) then you are welcomed to use that space too for your professional pictures. If you are a professional photographer and want to connect or have further questions - please message me on social media or email me at hollowayacres@gmail.com or go to this link on our website.
